Product Description
The Destructor is our factory downhill racing rig for the big-balled rider (female version for big-titted girls available soon).
Featuring 8 ½ inch of travel and a new-school downhill racing geometry, this frame has only one purpose: to be raced at the limit. The symbiosis of a perfectly balanced geometry consisting of a low center of gravity together with a rather long wheelbase and a highly sophisticated suspension characteristics, this frame gives you perfect handling conditions and ultimate traction on the toughest race courses.
On this frame, ther is no bling-bling ? just function.
Technical Details
DCS: Thanks to our double compression system, we are able to compress the shock from two sides, and this only by the two levers, thus it was possible to exert load forces from the suspension only on two places at the frame: at the 2 main bearings, which are situated exactly where they need to in order to load our straight top- and downtube only on pressure or tension. There are no unnecessary bending moments on the frame from the shock which would make the frame a weaker design. We managed to develop a frame design that is more durable than others and yet very lightweight.
A second advantage of our DCS is the precise control of the suspension characteristics: At stock setup, we believe to have found the right setup fitting to most downhilltracks: In the area of sag (about the first 60 mm), the travel ratio is linear. In the field of useful travel, there is a slight rising rate giving the rider a pretty plush ride whilst also preventing the suspension from running through it?s travel too fast e.g. in berms and still giving the skilled rider feedback from the ground. Only during the last inch of travel, the suspension ratio gets a high rising rate hindering the suspension from bottoming out on harsh impacts. We believe that this setup gives you best overall performance and also fosters an active style of riding.
Whenever you try to brake, you will have an active suspension providing maximum traction. Believe us when we say that this frame will not be the limiting factor of your ride.
Triangular pivot support: By this feature, we are able to modify one of the pivots of our suspension linkage in order to tune the frameset to the special needs of our factory racers: the bottom bracket height can e.g. be set up to 10 mm higher and the rising rate of our suspension can be decreased (special lever kit needed). Also, head angle and travel can be affected. In case of the demand for special setup, please contact our engineers.
Manufacturing:
All Destructor-Frames are 100% made in Germany.
The welding is done in Karlsruhe, the CNC machining in Rittershausen / Dietzhölztal.
